Modesto Police Detectives have located and identified 37-year-old Joseph Chapman of Modesto.

Chapman was wanted on Murder Charges, he was arrested after an anonymous tip was provided to police.

Detectives had released a video of Chapman as a subject of interest in the murder investigation of Christina Hill after Hill’s body was discovered on Monday, May 13, 2019, in a private driveway of a local business complex on 18th Street.

Chapman was located last night around 9:20 p.m during a traffic stop at Orangeburg Avenue and Trombetta Avenue. Chapman was later booked into the Stanislaus County Jail on murder charges and enhancements for committing a crime while out on bail.

The cause of Hill’s death is not being released until all medical evidence has been thoroughly examined and processed.
