Merced Police arrest 17 men for Solicitation of Prostitution

 

Merced Police Department says,from June 11th through June 25th, 2020, Merced Police Department DART officers monitored online prostitution advertisements.

DART officers were contacted and solicited for acts of prostitution by 17 male suspects.

The suspects sent text messages and made phone calls wanting to pay for sexual services.

Upon their arrival at the location, the suspects were taken into custody without incident and interviewed. The suspects were ultimately arrested for solicitation of prostitution and released from custody with citations due to the state’s current zero-bail policy for misdemeanor offenses.

Sgt. Solis stated, “This operation hopefully sends a message that these acts will not be tolerated in our city”

Alla Abuziadeh, Michael Najera, Frederick Polanco, Jared Soberanis-Trujillo, Rosendo Hernandez, Jose Aviles, Daniel Salas-Nunez, Pascual Rodriguez-Leon, Angel Ochoa-Amezcua, Jesus Diaz, Daranpop Suppatkul, Stephen Grossman, Arturo Padilla, John Woolum, Eric Whitley, Siddharth Pillai, Salvador Sanchez

    Neither selling or buying sexual companionship should be a crime. The shame is on the cops and the media for considering consenting adult sex workers incapable of knowing whether or not we are victims. Grow up, people. Get over your nonsensical aversion to commercial sex!
