NEW GROCERY STORE OPENING AT FORMER SAVEMART BUILDING IN MERCED

The former Save Mart that was closed about 6-years ago, located at 1136 W. Main street on the intersections of “R” street and Main street in Merced has a new grocery chain that would occupy the former Save Mart building.

The new business opening is Cardena’s Market, it’s expected to be opening later this year, no date has been given. According to their website, Cardena’s Market offers traditional flavors, fruits, Bakery, cooked food, fresh Juice bar and vegetables from across the USA, Mexico and more.

MERCED KFC AND ARCO OPENING SOON

The new KFC location and  a Arco Gas Station in Merced will be opening this April. No specific opening day was provided.

According to KFC they were scheduled to be opened by the end of March but the opening day has changed.  MGN would provide more information once we receive the opening day of both businesses.

NEW CVS OPENED TODAY CLOSES MALL STORE MORE BUSINESSES OPENING SOON

Merced CA- The new CVS opened it’s doors today, November 19th, 2017, in Merced. The new location located at 649 West Olive Avenue replaced it’s Merced Mall store location.

The new store includes a drive thru pharmacy. A Starbucks is also being built behind the CVS store. We also found out about a new KFC being built including a gas station by Golden Valley High School on Child’s avenue.

At this time it is unknown if the new KFC will replace the location at 1616 Martin Luther King Jr Way.

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK HIRING FOR SUMMER 2018

Yosemite,CA- Approximately 300 jobs to be filled over the next several months. Yosemite National Park has approximately 300 seasonal job openings for the summer of 2018. There are positions open in all areas of the park. In addition to Yosemite, there are seasonal jobs opportunities at many of the over 400 National Park Service units across the country.

The park will be filling a wide variety of positions, including backcountry rangers, entrance station rangers, custodial services, forestry technicians, utility systems operators, administrative assistants, traffic control rangers, and more. The jobs range in pay from $16 to $22 an hour.

To see information on all available positions in Yosemite, search for “National Park Service” and “Yosemite National Park.” Each job announcement will be posted for up to 5 business days.
