This week, students from Livingston High School installed a Lending Library at Charles Wright Elementary School.
These miniature “houses” were built by Livingston High School students during Mr. Zamudio’s woodshop class, and at the unveiling, they expressed the satisfaction of seeing how the skills they learned can apply to the real world.
They also got to witness the joy on the faces of the younger students when the library was presented to their school.
They would like to thank the Merced County Office of Education for coordinating the Lending Library Program which provides reading materials to students in regions where they aren’t easily accessible.
Kids or Adults can borrow books all year long from this structure right outside the entrance of the school.
