On August 5th, 2019 the Livingston Police Department arrested 23-year-old Jose Refugio Olvera from Winton California with the help from the Merced Sheriffs Department.

Olvera is being charged on attempted murder charges according to jail records.

He was booked into the Merced County Jail for the shooting on Walnut Avenue on August 3rd, 2019.

No injuries were reported on that shooting.

The police department is still looking into possible ties to gang activity.
