On Saturday, December 22nd, 2018, at around 6:30 p.m, Merced police responded to the area of “M” street and Olivewood drive for a pedestrian vs vehicle accident. Upon officers arrival, police found a woman in her 20’s that was laying down on the roadway.

Officers said the woman was riding her bicycle north on “M” street (wrong way) with no lights, the vehicle coming out from Olivewood Drive turning southbound on “M” street did not see the cyclists while making the turn.

The woman was transported to the hospital with leg and arm injuries. The driver did stay on scene and cooperated with officers. No alcohol or drugs appear to be a factor.
