Merced Police Department officers are currently working on a possible shooting at Motel 6.

Officers responded at around 12:30 Tuesday Morning for reports of a shot heard in the hallway of the Motel located at 1983 East Childs Avenue.

When officers arrived, they located blood and a shell casing.

Officers gained entry to room 136 and located more blood, authorities have not been able to locate a victim or a suspect at this time.

Hospitals are being advised to call police if anyone walks in with any injuries related to a shooting.  No further information is currently available.
