Merced Police say a 19-year-old pregnant female was the victim of a homicide.

Authorities say, a 20-year-old male was also wounded and was transported by helicopter to a Modesto hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Officers responded to the 1400 block of Conestoga Drive at approximately 9:50 Sunday night for a report of shots being fired.

When officers arrived, they located a 19-year-old pregnant female, and a 20-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Officers along with paramedics and Merced Fire personal provided emergency medical aid. Unfortunately, the female victim succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
