On August 4th, 2019, approximately 9:15 p.m., Los Banos California Highway Patrol responded to the area of Arroya Avenue and Linden Road for reports of a big rig vs pedestrian.

Upon further investigation, officers located a motorcycle with two occupants laying on the roadway.

Investigators said a 2007 Ninja Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling Northbound on Arroya Avenue approaching Linden road at approximately 40 miles per hour.

According to officers, a Honda traveling westbound stopped at the stop sign drove through the intersection failed to see the oncoming motorcycle causing the driver of the Kawasaki to lose control and crash.

Both 41-year-old Anthony Lee Valencia of Dos Palos and passenger 38-year-old woman also from Dos Palos were ejected.

Valencia received a broken leg and the woman was deceased upon CHP arrival.

The driver of the Honda fled the scene, at this time alcohol or drugs did not appear to be a factor.
