On December 6th, 2018, at around 12:30 p.m., A small plane crash-landed in Los Banos after some power difficulties. The plane went off the runway before coming to a stop in a grass field area at the airport.
No injuries were reported, drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor. The accident remains under investigation. Photos from the CHP office Los Banos area.
The plane did not go off the runway. The plane lost power before approach. The plane was not able to align itself with the runway coming in for a landing. The pilot without power and control of the plane did the best he could to land and in so doing, clipped the perimeter fence, with his landing gear. The plane dropped nose down. Could have cartwheeled over, could have ended badly.
I’m guessing that guy ^ was the one who crashed his plane?
