The Merced Police Department is currently at the 2500 Block of Glen Avenue near Hoover Middle School investigating a shooting.

Officers have located several casings in the area.

According to witnesses, it sounded like an AK-47 type weapon.

Officers said two victims were Med-flighted to Modesto area hospitals.

Officers are not releasing further details.

Crime scene unit and detectives are just arriving on scene.
