The Mariposa Cartel Shooting victim has been identified as 44-year-old Able Alvarez from Modesto.

The suspect was identified as Miguel Alcazar AKA Marco Jimenez with multiple other AKA’s, also from Modesto, authorities said.

Mr. Alcazar was driven by his girlfriend to a valley hospital to seek medical attention for his gunshot wounds.

Alcazar was detained at the hospital by local law enforcement until the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office arrived.

Mr. Alcazar has been released from the hospital and booked into the Mariposa County Adult Detention Facility on charges of PC187(A) Homicide / Murder.

Initial information indicated that a third person involved had suffered gunshot wounds. After being examined at the hospital, the third person was cleared with no injuries and no gunshot wounds.
