Merced, CA- The California Highway Patrol responded to a Pedestrian vs Vehicle Collision at approximately 7:50 am this Morning.

The collision occurred at the intersections of South East Bear Creek Drive at McKee Road.

Lee Boese Sr, 80-year-old male was jogging on westbound South Bear Creek Drive, crossing McKee Road when 40-year-old Rickee Marie Hill driver of the 2017 Buick Encore was turning eastbound from South East Bear Creek drive to Northbound McKee Road.

For unknown reasons Hill did not see Boese jogging or walking westbound across McKee Road while she made her left turn.

Hill struck Boese in the intersection and Boese rolled over the hood of the Buick. Boese fell to the ground and struck the asphalt.

Boese sustained lacerations to the head and was Medi-Flighted to a Modesto area hospital with moderate injuries.

Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor.
