On September 9th, 2019, at approximately 3:55 p.m, the California Highway Patrol responded to the area of Gardner Avenue and Dunn Road for a report of a collision.

Upon arrival, officers located 41-year-old Joel Colenga with major injuries.

According to CHP public information officer Zuniga, Joel was riding a 110CC mini motorcycle eastbound on Dunn road when he veered off the roadway.

Upon further investigation, officers determined Joel was not wearing a helmet and was under the influence of alcohol.

Joel was transported by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center, he then was med-flighted to a Modesto hospital.
