The California Highway Patrol (Los Banos Area Office) responded to a traffic collision in the area of SR-140 and Whitworth Road.

According to CHP the collision happened at approximately 11:35 a.m, on February 19th, 2020.

Upon further investigation, officers say the driver of the Ford SUV was traveling Northbound on Whitworth Road and pulled out in front of the Kenworth big rig traveling Eastbound on SR-140, the big rig was traveling at approximately 45 MPH.

A 6-year-old was taken by air ambulance with unknown injuries according to CHP. No other injuries were reported, the collision remains under investigation. Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor.
