Traffic collision sends vehicle onto the Merced Rabo Bank property

On January 17th, 2019, at approximately 9:42 a.m.the Merced Police Department received a report of a collision at the intersections of M and West 20th streets. Merced Police responded to the collision along with the City of Merced fire department. Upon arrival police requested riggs to respond.

Officers investigated the collision and determined that a 22-year-old female from Merced driving a Chrysler Sebring was stopped at the stop sign traveling westbound on West 20th street, she attempted to cross M street and did not see the Chevrolet Volt vehicle traveling Northbound on M street.

The vehicles collided and as a result of the collision the Chevrolet Volt driven by a 73-year-old female out of Gustine allowed the vehicle to leave the roadway and ended up on the property of Rabo Bank, no damages to the building were reported.

The driver of the Volt vehicle did not sustain any visible injuries, she was taken as a precaution to a local hospital to get checked. The driver of the Chrysler refused medical treatment. No alcohol or drugs are believed to be a factor in this collision.
