Shooting suspect from Kewl Cats arrested

On October 30, 2018, Merced Police Department officers responded to Kewl Cats, located at 1111 Motel Drive in Merced for a subject who shot at patrons as he was leaving the area in his vehicle.

Detective Pinnegar led the investigation and identified 27-year-old Alfredo Arredondo as the responsible. A search warrant and additional interviews were conducted.

Arredondo was not located during the search and an arrest warrant was obtained. Arredondo eventually turned himself in on November 13, 2018, and was booked into Merced County.
