On August 30, 2018, Merced County Probation Officers conducted a probation compliance check in the city of Gustine on a newly assigned domestic violence offender.

Officers located nineteen (19) rifles and one (1) revolver within the offender’s home. Joseph Anthony Gerhart 26-year-old was subsequently arrested on new criminal charges as well as a violation of probation.
