Police say two 18-year-olds were shot at near Rancho San Miguel

Police officers are investigating a shooting that injured two men.

Officers responded to the 1900 block of Yosemite Parkway at around 7:51 p.m., for reports of shots fired.

A short time later officers learned two 18-year-old’s were being dropped off at the hospital.

When officers arrived at the hospital, they contacted two 18-year-old Hispanic males suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Police say both victims provided minimal information.

Officers located their vehicle at Rancho San Miguel parking lot with multiple bullet holes.

Police were unable to locate the scene of the shooting but say it appears this shooting took place while the victims were driving in the area of Yosemite Parkway and Parsons Avenue.

The victims were transported to Modesto Area Hospitals where they are being treated for their injuries. The suspect(s) in this case are unknown. The motive for the shooting is unknown, but it is believed to be gang-related.
