An On-Duty Merced Police officer was just involved in a collision

At this time it appears the officer failed to slow down at a stop sign while she was responding to a call and hit a vehicle traveling South on R street.

It happened in the area of 11th and R streets at around 6:50 p.m. At this time no injuries are being reported and the California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
