CHP is investigating a collision involving a Merced County Sheriff’s deputy’s vehicle and a truck in the area of Buena Vista Drive and Paseo Verde Drive.

CHP officers responded to the scene at around 6:48 p.m., Sergeant J. Aguilar  was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries, the driver of the other vehicle 61-year-old Bryan R. Berliner was arrested for driving under the influence according to CHP Sergeant McConnell.

Bryan has a previous DUI and was driving with a suspended license.
