A man was shot in a North Merced home Friday afternoon.

Officers responded to the 300 block of
Hearst Drive for reports of a gunshot victim.

When officers were responding, dispatch advised that the caller stated it was accidental.

Injuries to the victim remain unknown at this time. A Juvenile male was handcuffed and taken away from the scene in a patrol vehicle.

Investigators are currently at the scene investigating.
