Merced Police Arrest Ex-Felon with a Firearm

Merced police arrested 23-year-old Osoimalo Taulima after arriving at the hospital with self-inflicted gunshot wounds.

Officers responded to Mercy Hospital at around 3:57 p.m., for reports of a gunshot victim at the hospital.

Authorities say Taulima had self-inflicted gunshots to his hand and thigh. Taulima was arrested for being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm. Police say they located the firearm.
