Merced County Medical responders start receiving COVID-19 vaccines MCOES reports

Merced County Medical First Responders have started getting COVID-19 vaccines.

The following is a press release from MCOES

The vaccines are provided by the Merced County Department of Public Health. “We are excited to be apart of the process and looking forward to resuming some sort of normalcy” Said Fire Chief Mike Van Loben Sels.

In Phase 1A of vaccine distribution in California paramedics, emergency medical technicians, and others providing medical first responder services are listed as groups to receive the vaccine.

This is to help support the health care system that has been hit hard and is struggling to maintain services as nurses, healthcare workers and medical first responders who are in constant contact with ill patients.
