On February 9th,2018, at around 8:00AM, A Merced county fire truck was responding possibly to the structure fire call that happened at the intersection of Tyler road and Gerard Avenue in Merced. 

The Fire truck was heading down Mckee road with Lights and sirens (code3), according to the solo firefighter there was a vehicle on the shoulder of the road when it unexpectedly swerved into the Fire engine path, causing the truck to swerve and flip over on its roof.

The firefighter was taken to a local hospital. According to Police and the solo firefighter the vehicle that swerved in front of him left the scene. (Photo courtesy to Hanna Davidson.
