On June 19th, 2019, at approximately 9:10 p.m., Merced police officers responded to a call of shots fired.

Officers arrived in the area of G Street and West Skylark Court and found an African American male juvenile who was shot.

Police also located a parked vehicle with multiple bullet holes, the vehicle was towed for evidence.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries according to Seargent Perez from the Merced Police Department.

No information about the suspect was immediately available. The shooting remains under investigation.
