The CHP Merced area office is currently on scene at a minor injury traffic collision that occurred on SR-99 southbound at Winton Parkway.

A big rig hauling peaches collided with a stopped box truck on the shoulder.

The box truck was hauling exotic fish and due to the collision both vehicles spilled their loads on to the roadway, causing a traffic hazard. The #2 lane will be closed until 1730 allowing crews to clean up the roadway.

Motorist can expect delays and are encouraged to take alternate routes.
