At about 12:30 this afternoon, Modesto Fire crews received a call for a working structure fire at Modesto Junior College’s West Campus.

Station 5 crews were responding to the scene, traveling westbound Briggsmore Avenue, when Engine 5 collided with a 2000 Ford Focus in the intersection at Carver Road.

There were no injuries reported by the driver of the Ford or the crew aboard the engine. Engine 5 suffered significant front end damage and will be out of service.
