Big Plans coming to Merced Rescue Mission, check this out

Merced County Rescue Mission is building a Village of Hope, a 5-acre campus on land purchased in December 2018 just south of the Fairgrounds.

This campus will increase the capacity of current programs and provide space for classrooms, a chapel and offices.

Seven new buildings are going to be built over the next four years according to a recent press release.

The Merced Rescue Mission plans to break ground in the first building in Summer 2020.

The Medical Respite Care will be a building that houses up to 32 people who are homeless and are being discharged from hospitalization. During the two to four week stays, participants will recuperate as we help them identify permanent housing.

This building will also include sobering rooms for men and women, a medical examination room, a commercial kitchen and a dining room.
