On September 16th, 2019, at approximately 12:10 p.m., a vehicle on fire was reported to the California Highway Patrol.

Cal-Fire responded to the area of East South Bear Creek Drive and North Cunningham Road near the town of Planada.

Upon firefighters arrival, a fully engulfed vehicle was located, along with a vegetation fire in the area.

The fire was contained at approximately 1:45 p.m., no occupants of the vehicle were in the area upon arrival, Battalion Chief Brian Neely said.

CHP said they are not able to check if the vehicle was stolen due to vehicle identification destroyed by the fire.
