On April 2nd, 2019, at approximately 3:10 p.m., Officer Sarginson witnessed a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Linden Street and Palm Avenue.
The preliminary investigation showed that the driver of a black Honda was traveling eastbound on Palm Avenue and failed to stop at the posted stop sign which caused the collision with a vehicle that was northbound on Linden Street.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene and both drivers complained of pain.
The driver of the Honda was identified as 35-year-old Julio Ramirez. Ramirez was found to be driving with a suspended license status and also found to have two warrants for his arrest.
A vehicle inventory was conducted of Ramirez’ vehicle prior to it being towed and officers found a substance believed to be methamphetamine as well as drug paraphernalia.
Ramirez was also being evaluated for possibly driving under the influence of a narcotic. He was arrested without incident.
