A man was hit by a vehicle early this morning in Merced according to the Merced Police Department.
Officers were dispatched to a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision at the intersection of Glen and East. 23rd Street at around 7:33 a.m.
When officers arrived, they located a 77-year-old male victim down in the roadway with moderate to major injuries.
The victim was flown to an area hospital for treatment and his current condition is not known.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the collision scene and is cooperating with investigating officers. Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in this collision.
