A magnitude 6.0 earthquake that struck the Eastern Sierra at around 3:49 Thursday afternoon was felt in much of Northern California, including the Bay Area.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake struck near Smith Valley, Nevada. No damages are currently being reported.
