Woman arrested for DUI, she hit a traffic light signal and several bushes

Officers from the Merced Police Department arrested a woman for driving under the influence on Tuesday night.

Officers responded to the area of M Street and West Main at around 11:56 p.m., for reports of a single-vehicle collision.

When officers arrived they located a woman at the scene who was being uncooperative, officers placed her under arrest.

When officers walked her to the patrol vehicle, she resisted getting in, within seconds she was placed in the patrol vehicle.

A traffic light signal was damaged and several bushes in front of the DA’s office before the vehicle came to a stop.

35-year-old Denise Casas was booked into the Merced County Jail for DUI, driving under the influence of .08, and resisting/obstructing a police officer.
