Two brothers from Winton arrested on robbery charges

On November 7th, 2017 the Merced County Sheriff’s Investigations Bureau served a search warrant in the 7100 Block of Tokay Circle in Winton. Detectives took into custody two brothers for a string of armed robberies that took place in different cities within the county.

The two subjects arrested were identified as 18-year-old Sergio Garcia-Martinez, 21-year-old Filemon Martinez Garcia. The robberies took place at the El Camino Market in Delhi on October 16th, and the Rancho Market in Winton on October 18th. Both brothers were out on bail when Deputies arrested them on October 27th, 2018 for robbery on a different case. Detectives believe more subjects were involved.
