Los Banos Police is currently investigating a death after a caller reported a woman not breathing in an alley.

Officers responded to the area of 4th Street and I Street at around 5:52 a.m. today after receiving a 9-1-1 call, the caller reported that a female acquaintance was not breathing. Officers arrived and found a woman believed to be in her late 50’s dead in the alleyway.

According to the Los Banos Police Department, The woman had been staying in the alleyway near a local church and is believed to be homeless.

A man associated with the woman was detained pending further investigation.
