The Los Banos Police Department is investigating a death.

Officers responded to the area of West I Street just south of Pacheco Blvd at around 3:42 p.m, for an elderly individual found unresponsive in a canal.

The individual was located in a nearby ditch however determined to be deceased by arriving EMS staff.
