On Thursday, December 16, 2021, an officer-involved shooting occurred in the 600 block of High Street in Turlock. Initially, two individuals were located and taken into custody, but evidence available at the time resulted in one subject being released.

During the investigation, evidence was located that identified 21-year-old Alexander Arroyo, of Turlock, as also being involved in the shooting.

Today, December 21, 2021, he was taken into custody at the Turlock Police Department without incident. Alexander Arroyo will be booked on two counts of attempted murder.
