On November 29th, 2018, at approximately 6:50 p.m. Merced Police Department received a call of a pedestrian vs vehicle accident in the area of West 16th and “K” streets. Merced Police officers arrived and located an elderly woman on the road.

Riggs ambulance arrived on scene and transported the woman to an undisclosed hospital. The driver stayed on scene and provided officers with all information. No alcohol or drugs appear to be a factor. The accident remains under investigation.
