Merced Soldier continues tradition for fallen Soldiers and Veterans

Alexander Caudillo, 20-year-old, of Merced, decided to go on a 10-mile run today to commemorate wounded and fallen soldiers.

Mr. Caudillo started at the intersections of “M” (Veterans Boulevard) and 16th Street, he told us he did a 15-mile ruck last December 31st, 2018, before he was deployed.

Caudillo is an infantryman in the U.S. Army, “this is not about me it’s about them, they served to protect us, i live every day thankful that they made the ultimate sacrifice, Caudillo said.There have been more than twenty service members killed in Afghanistan and Syria this year.
