Merced Sheriff Deputies recieved a call of shots fired from a vehicle, this is what they found

MERCED, CA – In the early morning hours of February 28, 2019, Merced County Sheriff’s Office deputies received a call of someone shooting from a vehicle in the area of Sandy Mush Road.

Sheriff’s Deputies located the vehicle and conducted a vehicle stop on the suspect vehicle in the 1000 block of Martin Luther King Jr Way in Merced. During a search of the vehicle, deputies located an AR-15 style rifle, a Colt 1911 handgun, high capacity magazines, and several rounds of ammunition.

Deputies arrested the driver, Jesus Armenta-Arellanes and booked him into the Merced County Jail on charges of willful discharge of a firearm, possession of a short-barreled rifle, carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle, possession of a high capacity magazine, and possession of assault weapon.

    We’ll I’m glad they got the stuff off the streets from some dirt bag that should not have had them but to call that AR style rifle just adds to the media misinformation on firearms for those law abiding gun owners out here that is clearly a AR style Pistol which is perfectly allowed here in Ca if your able to pass the back ground check these are on the DOJ/ca allowed list of firearms.
