Merced Police Department officers are currently working on a possible shooting at the intersection of R Street and West 2nd Street.

Officers responded at around 7:57 p.m. for reports of a gunshot victim.

When officers arrived they located a man with a gunshot wound to the arm according to an officer who advised dispatch when he arrived.

It does not appear to be life-threatening at this time. The suspect was not located, officers have cleared the area.  No further information is currently available.
