Merced Police are investigating a shooting at Fahrens Park Sunday morning.
Merced Police officers responded to the 900 block of Buena Vista Drive for reports of a man with a gun at approximately 11:45.
When officers were responding to the area, the dispatcher advised officers she heard shots fired in the background.
When officers arrived at the scene, they located an individual with a self-inflicted gunshot.
The man was transported to a local hospital by Riggs ambulance.
Authorities remain at the scene investigating and searching homes in the area for any cameras.
