Merced Police officers responded to Walmart for reports of a bomb.

The call came in at approximately 10:18 p.m. today.

According to Walmart employees, a white male adult wearing an orange-colored backpack went up to security and told them he was waiting for the bombs to go off.

The suspect approximately in his 40’s was seen heading towards the railroad tracks.

Police are currently searching the area for the suspect. No further information is currently available.
