The Merced Police Department announced today that Officer Steven Odom was recognized with an award as the 2019 Merced County Gang Investigator of the year.

The committee selected Officer Odom for his work throughout the course of 2019. Officer Odom’s knowledge in criminal street gangs who operate within the City and County of Merced has been paramount in leading to convictions of criminal street gang members.

Officer Odom has served with the Merced Police Department for 4-years.

The Department is proud of Officer Odom’s leadership and commitment to keeping narcotics and criminals off the street of our community.
