The Merced Best Buy location has officially closed its doors on March 8th, 2020.

The store was located at 1764 West Olive Avenue.

The company announced the closure in late January 2020, company representatives said they were not able to reach a new lease agreement with the landlord.

Over 20 full-time employees were affected by the store’s closure.

The company is already looking around town for a new location and plans to be back in business by the end of the year.

According to information on http://www.LoopNet.com, Ashley Furniture appears to be taking the current spot of the Best Buy building, also the Pier 1 closed earlier this year shows that Party City will take that spot.

Work World is in negotiations with the landlord for the spot next to Big 5 Sporting Goods according to the site.
