Merced 18-year-old shot and killed in Chowchilla

According to the Madera Sheriffs Department, On March 7, 2020, at around 12:40 a.m, deputies responded to a call of a shooting in the 14000 block of Avenue 20 in Chowchilla.

Before deputies arrived at the scene, they were advised that a gun shot victim had arrived at the Chowchilla Police Department.

Deputies responded to the scene of the reported shooting and located an adult male who had been struck by gunfire multiple times.

18-year-old Kelly Malik Dupree, a Merced resident, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The adult male victim that had been taken to the Chowchilla Police Department was transported to a regional hospital for the treatment of his injuries, which did not appear to be life threatening.

The preliminary investigation has revealed that the shooting occurred when the victims were approached while sitting in a parked vehicle outside of a residence during a house party.

Witness statements indicate there may have been 2 or more shooters, believed to be male, wearing dark clothing. It is believed that they had a getaway vehicle parked in the near vicinity.

No other details are known at this time.

    Did they talk to witness…. they haven’t even spoken to me and I’m his mother no case number police report nothing no even a call saying sorry for lost I know they are not doing anything to find information my son was set up and I believe it was planned his music and short story tells it all
