Man killed outside Winton taco truck, identified, this is how you can help the family

Family members have posted a GoFundMe for the shooting victim from Tuesday afternoon.

Merced Sheriff Deputies deputies responded to the area of Santa Fe Drive and Walnut Avenue at around 12:55 for reports of a shooting.

While en-route to the scene, deputies locked down Crookham Elementary School for safety reasons.

Upon arrival, Deputies located two male adults outside a taco truck eating area with gunshot wounds.

Deputies attempted life-saving measures and were able to medi-flight one of the subjects to a Modesto hospital. However, 26-year-old Gilbert Felix died at the scene.

School officials were contacted, and the school was allowed to release the children to their parents without incident.

Authorities say, two unknown male Hispanic suspects wearing all black clothing, walked up to the taco truck area and began shooting.
