Man arrested for killing bunny after residential burglary, this is what police say

A man was arrested by Merced Police officers on Saturday on charges of animal cruelty.

Officers arrested 25-year-old Terrel Walker for felony animal cruelty, burglary, and vandalism.

Officer Laguna investigated a residential burglary and found a pet rabbit that had been killed.

Police say the victim suspected her ex-boyfriend of the crime. The rabbit was transported to a local veterinarian and it was confirmed the bunny had died from a traumatic injury to the neck.

Walker was located and arrested for felony animal cruelty, burglary, and vandalism. He was booked into custody at the Merced County Jail.
