Inspector says, live roaches found in the kitchen at Choice Market in Merced

Merced CA- Choice Food Market located at 836 “T” street in Merced, received a “unsatisfactory” score on their health inspector report that took place on September 26th, 2018. Merced County Department of Environmental Health uses a scale of 1 to 13 points to determine if a restaurant is in compliance (1-6=good, 7-13=satisfactory.

If a business gets over 13 it is listed as “unsatisfactory” Unfortunately Choice Food Market received a score of (31). The following are just a few things the inspector observed, adult and nymph roaches near the hand wash sink in the kitchen, cleaning cloths sitting out on cutting boards and other surfaces in the meat area and the kitchen, the soda fountain nozzles need to be properly cleaned and cleaned more often.
